Imagine if you had the opportunity to go shopping, with your own personalized store, at your next meeting, without even leaving your hotel. DSC recently created a brand new service for a winter program in Tahoe that we hope to recreate among all of our destinations. The attendees of this program were from the warm, sunny southeast of the U.S. and not having much of a winter, they needed to stay warm in Tahoe.
A custom website designed for attendees to select winter apparel like snow boots, snow pants and ski/snowboard jackets was just the beginning to this memorable event. Upon arrival to the hotel, attendees were greeted with massage chairs, champagne, tasty food and comfortable lounge areas where they could relax between trying on their new gear. In addition to the pre chosen apparel, onsite at the fitting experience, a variety of winter accessories were available for attendees to select their favorite winter hat, gloves and socks. Guests worked hand and hand with a Retail Fitting Associate to make sure everything they selected fit perfectly. For the guests’ convenience, set up in the room was a private dressing room and changing area with mirrors and benches. Guests were given a reusable shopping bag to store their custom winter apparel.
For all 160 guests, boots, pants and jackets were pre-sized and ordered to ensure the best possible fit. Four months prior to the event, the attendees received their congratulations notice via a care package. Among unique Tahoe items, attendees received sizing guidelines and a measuring tape in their care package so they could order the correct sized snow boots, pants and jacket. Having this apparel prepared the guests to brave cold winter temperatures in Tahoe. Whether they were on the ski hill, fishing on Lake Tahoe or snowmobiling in the mountains, attendees were warm, comfortable and stylish in their new outfits. Upon receiving apparel items on site, guests were elated. Fitting day felt like Christmas, attendees were so appreciative of their new winter gear!
